Dynamic Defense Materials, LLC has developed
McCurdy's Armor, a portable armored wall system that is a unique, rapidly deployed protective structure easily configurable to meet various threat levels. It offers protection against small arms, mortars, rockets, artillery, armor piercing rounds and suicide bombs. Previously known as Evaloch, this patent-pending system can be assembled into a full guard post by a three person team in about 10 minutes. It can be dismantled and redeployed in a similar amount of time. McCurdy’s Armor consists of aluminum frames that unfold and connect to each other using steel connector pins. Once these frames are connected in the desired structure design, armor panels can be attached to the front and back depending on the sought protection level. It is a modular system; both the size and configuration of the armored wall can be tailored to include multiple corners and can create fully contained areas with protection on four sides or as needed to address specific tactical scenarios. The system includes ballistic windows that also can be opened and used as gun ports. A number of units are currently in theater and everyone using them has benefited from the added safety they provide.

March 25th, 2009-Dynamic Defense Materials (DDM) announces the name change of their Evaloch Armor product. Evaloch armor will now be known as McCurdy’s Armor, named after Marine LCpl Ryan McCurdy (KIA). DDM's Product Specialist, Joe Dimond served with Ryan in Fallujah, Iraq in 2005-2006, until Ryan was killed by sniper fire on January 5th 2006. LCpl McCurdy was a true hero, who lost his life saving another Marine with whom he was standing guard. It is our belief that if Ryan had a product like our portable armored wall system, he would have survived that day.
